We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our established team within the Children’s Emergency Department on a 12‑month secondment to cover maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, supportive, and forward‑thinking paediatric emergency medicine service.
As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside medical and nursing colleagues to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred emergency care.
You will function as an autonomous practitioner, taking responsibility for theassessment, clinical decision‑making, treatment, and safe discharge of children and young people presenting with a wide range of acute conditions.
You will contribute to maintaining high clinical standards, supporting service development, and promoting an environment focused on learning, safety, and excellence in paediatric emergency care. This secondment offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth while making a meaningful impact on the care experience of our patients and their families.
Work independently at advanced level in delivery of high quality clinical care
Provide clinical leadership and support both nursing and medical teams
Support clinical team with day-to-day activity
Support junior medical staff to achieve training and development requirements
Provide clinical areas with consistent high quality care
