Job Summary
Apex Resources Edinburgh is looking for dedicated Recycling Operative to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner. The position involves physical tasks requiring strength and mechanical aptitude, with full training provided.
Responsibilities
• Sort and separate recyclable materials according to company standards and safety protocols
• Operate machinery used in the recycling process, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
• Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the recycling area to ensure safety and compliance
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and report any faults or issues promptly
• Assist with loading and unloading materials from vehicles such as lorries or skips
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to minimise risks within the work environment
Requirements
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with good physical fitness and stamina
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, adhering to safety procedures
• Prior experience in waste management or recycling is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
