We are working on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership in Abingdon, to recruit a skilled and customer-focused Vehicle Service Advisor. Duties of a Service Advisor:
- Greet customers in the Service Department and manage reception duties efficiently
- Schedule vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring customer needs are met
- Liaise closely with the workshop team to monitor work in progress and update customers accordingly
- Arrange for courtesy vehicles when required
- Upsell additional products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership profitability
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle details
- Ensure compliance with warranty procedures and liaise with vehicle manufacturers as necessary
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or within a similar automotive customer service role
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with IT literacy
- A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Demonstrable ability to deliver excellent customer service and maximise upselling opportunities
- Knowledge of warranty procedures and liaising with manufacturers is advantageous but not essential
