Deputy Room Leader – Toddler Room


40 hours per week | Level 3 Early Years Qualification Required

This role is ideal for an experienced Nursery Practitioner looking to take the next step in their career or an existing Deputy Room Leader seeking a new challenge.



What We’re Looking For



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential

  • Experience working within an early years setting

  • Experience supporting the running of a room or mentoring colleagues – desirable

  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework

  • A nurturing, child-centred approach to childcare

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Passion for supporting children's development and learning

Key Responsibilities



  • Supporting the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the toddler room

  • Helping to deliver high-quality care and education in line with EYFS

  • Creating engaging learning experiences that support children's development

  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues

  • Supporting observations, assessments, and learning records

  • Acting as a role model for best practice within the room

  • Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety standards are consistently maintained
