Summary


This post would join a consultant team with diverse interests and expertise sharing in both inpatient and outpatient care including a choice of speciality clinics (including Tuberculosis, ambulatory ID, HIV, OPAT, viral hepatitis). The post holder will be based at Northwick Park and will contribute to our highly rated undergraduate and postgraduate training as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer for Imperial College and will have the opportunity to contribute to our clinical research programme.
This appointment will also add to the current team of acute medicine and specialty physicians supporting Acute Medicine.

This is a new post is needed to support the increasingly busy and important IDAR service. The consultant role will be to deliver consultant led clinics, support the IDAR registrar and specialist nurses and lead on service development, clinical governance and research (relevant to the IDAR service). In addition the IDAR consultant will act the natural point for contact for the referral registrar working in flexible with the other consultants and coordinating with the ward teams to ensure ID patients are looked after by ID. In order to fund this post we are starting a Travel Clinic service for public and staff. This post will lead on the design of this service and its implementation in close liaison with the IDAR nursing team.
