The varied workload requires a flexible approach and the ability to multi-task, whilst maintaining a professional attitude and high standards of care. The role involves delivering Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment under the supervision of a registered therapist, to hospital in-patients. This will include a range of activities such as practicing daily living activities e.g. personal care & domestic skills; carrying out cognitive screens, assisting therapists with splinting; and the assessment, delivery and fitting of equipment in patients homes to help patients be discharged. The successful applicant would be based at Leeds General Infirmary and work Monday to Friday. Shortlisting will take place on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 with interviews the following week on Tuesday 9 June 2026. Adverts will close early where the maximum number of applicants is reached. The Neuroscience occupational therapy team is a dynamic, supportive group of registered and unregistered occupational therapists dedicated to helping people rebuild independence and quality of life after neurological illness or injury. Working across acute care, rehabilitation, to enable discharge to the community, the team supports patients with a wide range of complex conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders. The successful candidate will receive regular support and supervision and yearly appraisal to progress your career development.
