We’re currently looking for a qualified Plumber to join our Facilities Management team at HMP Buckley Hall, supporting the Ministry of Justice.

About the role
As a Plumber at HMP Buckley Hall, you’ll work as part of a highly skilled on‑site team maintaining a complex, secure environment. No two days are the same, and your expertise will be vital in keeping critical services running safely and reliably.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance
Repairing and maintaining mains water supply systems
Fault‑finding, repairing and replacing life‑expired equipment
Completing inspections, water and Legionella sampling, and risk assessments
Supporting site operations with additional tasks as required
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for practical, reliable professionals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of working safely in a secure environment.
You’ll ideally have:
A full UK driving licence
Hands‑on experience in Plumbing in commercial or industrial settings
Experience operating light plant
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating is essential
Legionella (L8) and water risk assessment experience
Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box. If you have transferable skills and the right attitude, we’ll support you with training and development.
Security clearance
This role is subject to Prison Security Clearance and Standard DBS. Amey will fully support you through the process.
