UK Phoenix Healthcare is expanding its Rapid Response Team and is looking for a Trainee Rapid Response
You will be deployed quickly into adults’, young people’s and paediatric community care packages in the community and domiciliary services, often at short notice, to stabilise situations and maintain safe, high‑quality care.
This role is ideal for confident HCAs who thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy variety, and are ready to take on greater clinical and behavioural responsibility. you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to paediatric, young people and adult clients with health needs in their own homes.
Respond rapidly to new referrals, unplanned changes, and urgent cover needs across our services within a 60 mile radius of your home.
Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge, using proactive and least‑restrictive strategies.
Deliver care in line with individual care plans.
Work within a rapid‑response rota, which may include days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, maintaining flexibility to travel and adapt to changing plans.
Communicate clearly and professionally with families, MDT members and internal teams, escalating concerns promptly to keep people safe.
What you will bring
Essential experience:
Proven experience working with people who present with challenging behaviours.
CPI (or equivalent) training in Crisis Prevention/physical intervention.
Moving and handling experience and compliance with safe systems of work.
Experience supporting paediatric clients, young people and adults with complex needs.
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
Experience working in supported living and/or domiciliary care services.
Other requirements:
Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (no non‑drivers for this role).
Ability to travel within a 60‑mile radius from home as required by the rota. Fluent in spoken and written English.
Full‑time availability and willingness to work a flexible rapid‑response pattern.
