Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled lecturer to join our team, delivering high‑quality teaching and learning to 16–18‑year‑old learners on our study programme. The role involves delivering City & Guilds Level 2 Barbering and Level 2 Hairdressing qualifications, ensuring sessions are engaging, industry relevant and supportive of learner progress.

You will take on Course Leader responsibility for the Level 2 Barbering programme, overseeing curriculum planning, monitoring learner achievement and maintaining high standards across the course. The post also includes Lead Internal Verifier duties across the wider curriculum area, supporting internal quality assurance processes and ensuring awarding‑body requirements are met.

We are seeking someone with proven experience of teaching these qualifications within a Further Education environment, along with strong technical skills and up‑to‑date industry knowledge. Lead IV experience is desirable but not essential.

We welcome applications from individuals who are committed, motivated and able to inspire learners while contributing to the ongoing development and quality of the provision.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role or require further details, we would be happy to arrange this.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promotes the welfare of all learners and expects its staff to share this commitment. Employment at the College is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. If the post falls under the definition of regulated activity it will also be subject to an additional barred list check.

When we shortlist potential candidates, we will inform those who have been shortlisted that online search maybe conducted as part of the due diligence checks. The college will ensure to communicate the lawful basis on which this personal information will be collected.
