Job Title: Weekend Cleaner Caretaker.
Reports to: Multi Hub Managers.
Location: Across all Worcester Community Trusts Community Centers- Tolly Hub, Green Hub, KGV, Ronkswood Hub, Warndon Hub and Horizon.
Hours: 10hrs per weekend and on call alternate weekends.

Requirements: £6,609.20 per annum
Plus £25 per day weekend on call allowance, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. This will be over alternate weekends.
Driving License and access to your own vehicle.

Purpose of the role:
To be responsible for overseeing Community Hubs during weekends as a key holder, providing access to facilitate bookings, upholding cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all users. Rotas will be prepared by the Multi Hub Managers in advance with working hours, Hubs to cover and expectations of working hours. You will be expected to be on call for emergencies every second weekend- an additional payment of £75 will be made per weekend for this and training will be given.

Requirements: Driving License and access to your own vehicle.

• This role requires you to have a driving license and access to your own vehicle, to enable you to travel between the six community hubs that are located across Worcester. You will not need to travel between all 6 hubs in one day, however, it may be two or three in one day-mileage expenses can be claimed between Hubs.

Principle Tasks

• To ensure that the Hub is open to internal and external hirers at the appropriate times, and that the building is secure afterwards.

• To set up and put down furniture, equipment and refreshments for hirers as and when requested, in advance, as part of the booking.

• To carry out cleaning duties including, but not limited to, hoovering, mopping, cleaning surfaces, toilets and kitchen areas, emptying dishwashers and buffing floors.

• To cover opening and closing Hubs for party bookings, discussing the fire safety rules and expectations with the party hirers and completing relevant paperwork.

• To respond to emergency call outs, securing the buildings effectively and/or escalating to the leadership team as appropriate.

• To carry out legal requirements of testing Fire Call Points, Emergency Lighting, water temperature checks, First Aid stock levels and general health and safety inspections.

• To provide Key Hold Training to customers when required and complete the relevant paperwork.

Principle duties

• To welcome all visitors to the Hubs in a friendly and professional manner with the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
• To liaise with Hub Managers and the Maintenance Team to report issues or hazards/faulty equipment, and rectify routine problems such as light bulbs, fuse and battery changes.

• To promote the hubs and support potential hirers, ensuring that they know how to access hirer information and follow booking procedures.

• Completing incident reports to ensure that all incidents are monitored so that measures can be put in place to reduce the risk of repeat incidents.

• The ability to communicate effectively with clients, community members, staff, students, partners, and volunteers.
• In all contacts the postholder will be required to present a good image of the Trust as well as maintaining constructive relationships with internal and external associates:

• To undertake mandatory Safeguarding, H&S training and any other training associated with the role.

Safety, Social Media and WCT’s Code of Conduct at all times.
