Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Wood Mill Operative for our fantastic client located in the Kingswinford area, our client specialises in the build and design of bespoke furniture.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and thriving company who are recruiting due to continued growth - This position will be a 12-week temporary to permanent role with a fantastic career growth.
Main Duties:
• Operate a range of machinery, including saws, sanders, CNC etc
• Cut, shape and prepare timber components according to specifications
• Assemble wooden frames and structures
• Quality checking on all components
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
• Report any defects, shortages or machine issues to the Production Supervisor.
Hours of Work:
• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am till 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am till 2:30pm
Rate of Pay:
• £13.25 per hour
Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a wood mill, joinery workshop or similar manufacturing
• Confident using hand tools and basic woodworking machinery
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and follow measurements and drawings accurately
• Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
