These flexible opportunities are ideal for Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Haringey and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and thrive in supportive, engaging environments.
Duties as Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
- Support behaviour management in line with school policies
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
- Support pupils with additional needs when required
- Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation
- Monitor and record pupil progress and share observations with staff
- Contribute to wider school routines during longer-term placements
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting pupils in a school or education setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships
- Adaptable across year groups, subjects, and varied school environments
- Confident supporting learning across mixed abilities
- Professional, reliable, and proactive
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
