Location: Bridlington, East Riding, Driffield, Sewerby, Easton, Bessingby, Wilsthorpe, Carnaby, Marton, Scarborough
AGS Support are seeking dedicated, resilient, and professional Night Concierge & Safeguarding Officers to join our supported housing services in the Bridlington area.
This is a rewarding but demanding frontline role supporting vulnerable adults and young people within supported accommodation settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, wellbeing, and security of residents overnight while providing a calm, professional, and responsive presence.
This role is particularly suited to individuals who are observant, confident working independently, able to manage challenging situations calmly, and committed to safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
About the Role
As a Night Concierge & Safeguarding Officer, you will provide overnight concierge, safeguarding, and welfare support within supported housing environments. You will work on a lone-working basis and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, visitors, and the building.
You will be expected to maintain professional boundaries, respond appropriately to incidents and safeguarding concerns, complete detailed reports, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents who may present with complex or challenging behaviours.
Some shifts may involve working across multiple sites on a floating basis.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the safety and security of supported housing projects overnight
Conduct regular welfare, wellbeing, health & safety, and building checks
Monitor CCTV systems and control access to buildings
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, anti-social behaviour, and safeguarding concerns
Support residents in a calm, professional, and non-confrontational manner
Recognise and report concerns relating to vulnerability, exploitation, self-harm, mental health, or substance misuse
Complete accurate handovers, incident reports, daily logs, and welfare records
Escalate concerns promptly and correctly in line with company procedures
Work closely with housing staff, support teams, emergency services, and management
Promote professional boundaries, equality, diversity, and confidentiality at all times
Essential Requirements
Enhanced DBS (Adult & Children’s Workforce)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Legal right to work in the UK
Previous experience within supported housing, homelessness services, security, care, safeguarding, or a similar environment
Experience working with vulnerable adults, young people, or individuals with complex needs
Experience managing challenging behaviour and conflict de-escalation
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and housing support environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Confidence working independently and on a lone-working basis
Great understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and risk awareness
Ability to produce clear, factual, and professional written reports
