Year 3/4 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from as soon as possible

This Year 3/4 Teacher role offers the opportunity to work full time within a stable and well‑organised primary setting on a long‑term, ongoing basis. The Year 3/4 Teacher will be required to commit to attending every day and contribute fully to the life of the school, including staff meetings. Planning and PPA time are provided, allowing the teacher to focus on high‑quality classroom delivery and pupil engagement. This role is suited to an experienced Year 3/4 Teacher who is confident, reliable, and able to maintain consistency for pupils.
Duties as Year 3/4 Teacher:
- Deliver engaging lessons to a mixed Year 3/4 class in line with the national curriculum
- Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement pre‑planned lessons and follow established schemes of work
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
- Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
- Assess pupil understanding and provide feedback as required
- Attend staff meetings as directed, currently held after school on Mondays
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support consistency and routines
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Year 3/4 Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status
- Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with mixed‑year classes
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Reliable and committed to attending the role every day
- Able to adapt quickly to an established classroom and routines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Resilient, organised, and professional approach to teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
