Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator to oversee daily warehouse operations and optimise supply chain processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. Duties
Manage category inventory levels through effective category management strategies.
Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Utilise transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, stock levels, and order fulfilment.
Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise transportation routes and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records using ERP systems such as AS400 and other supply chain software.
Analyse data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Assist with materials handling activities, including picking & packing orders efficiently.
Supervise materials handling equipment operations, including forklift utilisation where applicable.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all warehouse activities.
Support the implementation of process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse administration or logistics management.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (including AS400), and transportation management systems (TMS).
Familiarity with supply chain processes, materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and logistics coordination.
Experience working with 3PL providers and managing third-party relationships.
Excellent data analysis skills to interpret operational metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as forklifts is desirable but not essential; relevant training can be provided.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
Good communication skills for liaising across departments and external partners.
