Crynodeb
Faster Fit Tyres are looking for an experienced Tyre fitter to join our family run business located in Scunthorpe.
The candidate must have previous experience of tyre fitting and tracking. Any experience in fast fit/mechanical repairs such as brake pads/discs, suspension (springs and shock absorbers), steering (track rods, ball joints and bushes) an added advantage.
Vacancy is for permanent up to 5 days a week and we are open 7 days a week. Candidates must specify days available and how many days in week they would like. There is possibility of additional days for sickness and holiday cover.
Candidate must be able to arrive to work in Scunthorpe on time during working hours (Monday to Saturday: 08:45am to 6pm and Sunday: 10:00am to 4.30pm)
The job involves every aspect of the day to day running of the workshop. We are a small business therefore the job entails Cash handling, inventory managing, answering the telephone and all related duties in a retail environment.
The Role and Responsibilities:
Advise customers of work required to ensure vehicle is in road worthy condition.
Fitting of New/Part Worn Tyres on Cars/Vans
Puncture Repairs using British Standard Tools in accordance with the Technical Standards and Work Instructions.
Wheel Balancing
Wheel Removal using Jacks
Laser Wheel Alignment Tracking
Mechanical repairs on Cars/Vans
Brake pads/discs Replacement
Suspension (springs and shock absorbers)
Steering (track rod, ball joints and bushes)
Parts & Labour pricing
Stock management and ordering – placing goods into storage
Cash Handling
Answering Phone queries
General workshop duties - Contribute to Good Housekeeping routines.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures.
Unloading / Loading deliveries of tyres in bulk
Using computers to load stock information and generating invoices
