ROLE: Trainee Water TechnicianHOURS: 40 hours per weekLOCATION: Glasgow, UK

The position will support the key functions of the business by providing services as and when required.

All tasks must be carried out in accordance with all method statements and the fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services.

Role Responsibilities
-Support day‑to‑day operations and administrative tasks, providing services as required and carrying out all tasks in accordance with Marlowe Environmental Services' procedures, method statements and fundamental rules.

-Take instruction, coaching and mentoring from senior team members and participate in training sessions and workshops to develop skills and progress towards becoming a competent Water Technician.

-Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current legislation, accurately documented, and submitted via tablet or electronic systems in live time.

-Maintain and promote Health and Safety standards within the team, to sub‑contractors and to clients, adhering at all times to client‑specific Health and Safety and Safe Working practices.

-Plan work to ensure scheduled tasks are completed on time and to maximum efficiency, liaising with client representatives and reporting any pertinent issues to the Field Manager or Client Representative.

-Undertake competency assessments to progress from Trainee to Water Technician (Level 1), including TMV servicing, tank and cooling tower cleaning (Second Person), inspections, sampling, temperature monitoring, cleaning and flushing activities, and BSRIA Chemistry and Micro sampling where required.

Required Qualifications
-Keenness to learn and train to become a competent Water Technician, with a strong interest in water treatment.

-Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.

-Good literacy, administration and IT skills, with confidence using phone or tablet applications in line with company systems.

-Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a client‑focused approach.

-Ability to work safely, ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and Health and Safety standards are consistently applied.
