Summary
Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
A little about myself:
I am a young boy living in Swansea. I have global development delay and ASD. I am nonverbal apart from a few words, but I am extremely happy, affectionate and I love people, hugs and playing. I would like to go somewhere to play. I love going to parks, anything with water, the beach or play centres. I love snacks, especially rice cakes and peanuts. I am easily entertained and love getting hugs and tickles.
Driver required to take me out.
Female preferred.
Hours of work
4 hrs a week on a Sunday afternoon any time from 12pm.
Rate of pay.
£13.50
Essential:
I need you to:
• Drive to be able to take me out.
• Be female.
• Have previous experience.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You enjoy having fun
I’d like support with:
• General safety. I am careful and will hold hands when by roads. But I still need to be kept an eye on.
• Being reminded to go to the toilet every few hours. As I will forget to tell you.
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
