Connect Appointments is recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join an established fresh produce business based in Livingston on a full-time temporary basis.
Our client operates a busy food production facility, requiring reliable and detail-oriented operatives to support packing and distribution across a revolving rota that includes weekend working.
What's on offer?
- Full-time temporary position, 40 hours per week
- 5 days out of 7, 6am to 3pm on a 6-week revolving rota
- £12.71 per hour, paid weekly
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:
- Setting up production lines and ensuring materials are correctly positioned at the start of each shift
- Selecting, packing, labelling and sealing fresh produce to customer specifications including count, weight, colour and origin
- Operating scanners, pallet trucks, MHE and computer equipment safely in line with health and safety procedures
- Completing quality checks, segregating rejected produce and managing label stock accurately
- Completing all required paperwork and liaising with supervisors, QA and production teams to minimise downtime
To be considered as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:
- Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- A basic level of computer literacy
- Knowledge of fresh produce and health and safety procedures is advantageous - pallet truck training will be provided
