What skills and experience we're looking for
This is a re-advertised post, on a revised part-time basis.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational part-time teacher to join our science team at GCMS in September 2026. We are looking for a teacher who is an enthusiastic and inspiring educator with a focus on contributing towards our inclusive and ambitious curriculum offer. This is a part-time fixed-term post for 1 year, with a view to being made permanent for the right candidate. Working pattern will be discussed at interview.
You must be:
• inclusive, flexible and able to meet the needs of all learners
• able to demonstrate a range of engaging teaching strategies to promote aspirational outcomes for all
• able to work effectively in partnership, as a member of our dynamic staff team and be an integral part of our school family
• promote excellent behaviour by establishing respectful relationships and enabling a positive approach to learning
• The successful candidate will work within a supportive environment, positively contributing to raising standards of attainment and achievement for all pupils. Excellent provision in science is key to achieving our vision and ensuring that every child is equipped for success in school and beyond.

Commitment to safeguarding

The successful applicant will be required to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate and a range of other recruitment checks.
