If so, Beloved Childcare in Northampton is looking for dedicated Children’s Residential Carers to join our team across three children’s homes.

Contract Type: Self-Employed / Contractor Only
Pay Rate: £14–£15 per hour, Nights from £15 per hour — all pay rates are subject to compliance checks, experience, and terms & conditions.

This position is currently open only to individuals who are registered as self-employed or operate through an LTD company.

This is a flexible contracting opportunity ideal for professionals who are committed to making a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Requirements – You Must Have:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children or young people in residential care within the UK
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Confidence working independently and using initiative
• Understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care
• NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or willingness to work towards relevant qualification (preferred).

Your Role Will Include:

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care and emotional support
• Support children and young people with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD), emotional trauma, and challenging behaviours.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
• Promoting independence, routines, education, and social development
• Assisting with daily activities, appointments, and community engagement
• Managing behaviours that may challenge in a safe and therapeutic manner
• Maintaining accurate records, reports, and safeguarding documentation
• Supporting young people during crisis situations with professionalism and empathy
• Working flexibly across shifts including days, nights, weekends, and sleepovers where required.
