The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a single
procurement function which will help support the sustainable provision of clinical and non-clinical services.
A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.
Working as a Supply Chain Assistant based at York Hospital you will contribute to the cleanliness, security and safety of equipment and stock throughout the Trust.
Working in the Receipt and Distribution area you will be mainly responsible for taking delivery of products delivered to site, receipting all goods delivered onto the e-Procurement system and delivering stock to wards using roll cages and other moving equipment.
Other duties may include stocking clinical and non-clinical areas with products, maintaining stock rotation to minimise wastage and scanning to reorder stock against agreed stock levels.
You will work within clearly defined procedures using your own initiative on routine matters and refer to the Stores Supervisor or Site Lead when necessary.
You will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer focused
service is provided for all staff across the site ensuring they can deliver excellent patient care.

This vacancy is based at York Hospital and is fixed term for 18 months.
Your role will be mainly based in the Receipt and Distribution/stores dept.
37.5 hours per week (5 hrs per day) 8am till 4pm
