What the role involves:
Planning and delivering engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Encouraging students to analyse, evaluate, and think critically about historical events
Preparing pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations
Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities
Monitoring progress and providing meaningful feedback
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
What you’ll need:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge across key historical topics
Ability to engage and motivate students
Effective classroom management skills
A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
