We are seeking a dedicated Activity Coordinator to join our team at our elderly care home in Purley. In this role, you will organize engaging activities that enhance the residents' daily lives and promote social interaction, aligning with our mission to deliver exceptional senior care.
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate a variety of engaging activities tailored to the needs and interests of elderly residents.
Foster social interaction and community spirit among residents through creative programming.
Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities support residents' health and well-being.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed.
Maintain a safe and inclusive environment during all activities.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote participation.
Keep accurate records of activities and resident engagement.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dementia care environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and lead engaging activities.
Compassionate attitude with a strong understanding of elderly needs.
Experience working in a care home setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia care best practices.
Creative mindset with enthusiasm for enhancing resident quality of life.
