Summary
Cleaning & Hygiene Operative
(Soft Play & Family Entertainment Centre)
We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cleaning & Hygiene Operative to join our team at GUN-SU GROUP LTD operating within a busy family entertainment and soft play environment.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and customer safety throughout the premises.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
*Carrying out daily cleaning of all customer and staff areas
*Cleaning and sanitising soft play equipment and play frames
*Cleaning café seating areas, tables, floors, and customer touchpoints
*Cleaning toilets, baby changing facilities, and staff welfare areas
*Ensuring all cleaning schedules and hygiene checklists are completed accurately
*Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation support areas in accordance with hygiene procedures
*Emptying bins and managing waste disposal safely
*Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or health & safety concerns to management
*Assisting with deep cleaning tasks and end-of-day cleaning procedures
*Ensuring cleaning chemicals and equipment are used and stored safely
*Supporting the business in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for children and families
Requirements
*Previous cleaning experience preferred (commercial or hospitality environments advantageous)
*Strong attention to detail and high hygiene standards
*Ability to work independently and efficiently
*Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to work in a fast-paced family environment
*Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and school holidays where required
Desirable
*Experience in soft play, hospitality, leisure, nursery, or family entertainment sectors
*Basic understanding of health & safety and hygiene standards
*Knowledge of COSHH procedures is advantageous
