Key responsibilities

The carer will visit the client's home and provide support with the following:
• Assistance with hygiene and toileting needs
• Support with showering and personal care in the bathroom
• Skincare treatment and management related to the client's autoimmune condition
About the client

AGE: 64
MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Diabetes, Pemphigus vulgaris (autoimmune disorder affecting the skin), and wheelchair user
HEALTH AND MOBILITY: The client has limited mobility but can carry out transfers independently. Due to a compromised immune system, they rarely leave the house and require specialist support with skin care management.
LIVING SITUATION: The client lives with their partner, who provides the majority of their care.

The client's home is a smoking environment. The client is a pet owner, though pet care is not included in this role.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Care Certificate or equivalent
• Fluent English speaker
• Reliable and conscientious approach to care
• Warm, kind, and emotionally supportive manner
• Ability to reassure the client and help them feel safe and understood
