An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team on Ward 307 as aBand 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, specialising in Head and Neck surgery. We welcome applications from skilled and motivated Registered Nurses who are committed to delivering high‑quality, compassionate care.


The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Senior Sister, to ensure the delivery of patient centred and clinically effective care. Also acting as a professional role model to the Nursing team.
We are seeking someone with a passion to identify new ways of working to deliver our service in a responsive way to our patients, in line with local and national guidelines.
• Acting as a support to the Senior Sister in the department.
• In the absence of the Senior Sister you must effectively manage the ward and treatment room, ensuring the delivery of high quality care.
• To provide the junior nursing team with support and leadership.
• To work closely with clinicians in the clinical setting and assisting with examinations as required.
• To collaborate with other members of the wider MDT such as Nurse specialists, Speech and Language Team, and Dietetic team to provide seamless quality care to our service users.
• You must be committed to embracing new challenges and development opportunities and have a passion for developing the nursing
• Participation on the surgical bleep holder rota. Support with activity, admissions/transfers and staffing issues.
• Be prepared to train in Tracheostomy care.
