We wish to appoint a teaching assistant who is passionate about children’s learning and committed to meeting the needs of all children, to cover a maternity leave. Are you the person we are looking for?
Working pattern: 11.30am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
You will need to:
- support the needs of children with SEN on a small group or 1:1 basis.
- work closely with staff, parents and outside agencies.
- be able to cater for the individual needs of the children and to use initiative based upon situations as they arise.
- follow individual Care Plans as directed.
- provide detailed feedback to the SENDCO, teacher and parents.
- create supportive and trusting relationships with parents with an honest and open approach.
- work with and learn alongside other professionals.
We seek candidates who can capture the imagination and interest of young learners and develop their skills and knowledge.
The successful candidate would:
- have experience of dealing with students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for learning
- have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
- be flexible and open to new ideas
- be a team player
- fully support the ethos and aims of the school
- be of a nurturing nature
