Summary
An established independent accountancy practice is seeking a Tax Assistant to join its experienced tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career within a supportive and flexible working environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Managers and Directors, gaining exposure to a broad range of tax matters. Candidacy will only be considered if you have gained prior tax experience gained within an accountancy practice. This opportunity would suit a numerate individual with keen attention to detail.

Tax Assistant duties and responsibilities
Preparation of personal tax returns (Self Assessment) for a varied client base.
Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns.
Supporting senior staff with tax compliance work across different tax areas.
Liaising with HMRC on routine matters, including queries and correspondence.
Maintaining accurate client records and working papers.
Assisting with basic tax planning work as experience develops.
Meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and professional standards.
Providing a professional and helpful service to clients.
