At Seaburn Dene Primary School, our office is the heartbeat of the schoolandmdash;warm, welcoming and always busy.andnbsp; Due to a recent retirement, we are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive School Office Administrator to join our team and help us continue to provide the very best experience for our children, families and staff.
As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our school.andnbsp; This is a fantastic opportunity for someoneandnbsp; who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environmentandnbsp; and takes pride in making a positive difference every single day.
About the Role
You will:
Welcome visitors warmly andmdash; providing a professional, friendly first impression of our school
Handle enquiries andmdash; managing incoming calls, emailsandnbsp; andandnbsp;dailyandnbsp;communication with efficiency and care
Support key administrative processes andmdash; including pupilandnbsp; admissions,andnbsp;attendance, data management and maintaining school systems
Assist the Senior Management Team andmdash; with correspondence,andnbsp;scheduling and communication
Help organise school events andmdash; meetings, parent sessions andandnbsp;whole-school activities
Maintain accurate records andmdash; ensuring compliance with safeguarding,GDPR and school policies
Carry out general office duties andmdash; filing, reprographics, orderingandnbsp;supplies, managing mail and supporting daily operations
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Friendly and engaging andmdash; able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
Highly organised andmdash; with excellent attention to detail
Calm and efficient andmdash; able to prioritise in a busy environment
Professional and approachable andmdash; representing the school withandnbsp;warmth and confidence
IT-confident andmdash; experience with MIS systems (SIMS/Arbor) is helpful, but training can be provided
Clear and effective in communication andmdash; with staff, pupils, parentsandnbsp;and external agencies
Discreet and reliable andmdash; committed to safeguarding and confidentiality
A positive team player andmdash; with a andldquo;can-doandrdquo; attitude and willingness toandnbsp;andnbsp;help wherever needed
Experience in a school office or educational setting is desirable but not essential. We will provide full training and support for the right candidate.
