What skills and experience we're looking for
Carlton le Willows are looking to appoint a Teaching / Care Assistant to join our academy in September 2026, on a part time temporary basis for two years subject to funding.
Your new role
As a Teaching / Care Assistant, you will provide one to one personal support for pupils with additional needs. You will provide special educational and/or medical support to ensure their successful engagement with and access to learning. You will need to maintain professional records and appropriate notes in relation to the individual pupil.
Salary: Grade C Points 4 to 6 (£25,185 to £25,989Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £17,641.67.
Hours: 30 hours per week / Term Time only plus 5 days (39 Weeks)

With a consistent record of high academic attainment, Carlton le Willows remains one of the top performing schools in the area -achieving the best ever results in the school's history this summer.Results for 2025 saw 85% of students achieve a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths, compared with a 65% national average. In total 69% of students secured a strong pass of a Grade 5 or above in those two core subjects- far exceeding the national average of 46% and meaningwe are placed well above similar schools nationally.
A level students in our high performing sixth form also celebrated strong results withmore than 91% of the cohort securing a place at their first choice university, retaining our reputation for academic excellence post 16.
