We are looking for a friendly, reliable and trustworthy Personal Assistant to support a young adult female with autism and cerebral palsy. The role is focused on companionship, social activities and promoting independence — no personal care is required.
She is an outgoing young lady who enjoys:
Walking and visiting places such as Conkers and the cinema
Board games and card games
Social outings and trying new activities
Although she walks well independently, she does require support with things such as road safety due to visual impairment affecting her side vision.
We are looking for someone with:
A young outlook on life and a good sense of humour
A friendly and approachable personality
Reliability and patience
An interest in helping build confidence, independence and social skills
The ideal PA will be someone she can relate to and build a genuine friendship with while enjoying social activities together.
Experience is not essential, but awareness or understanding of autism would be beneficial. A driving licence is not essential, as the family has a vehicle available for activities if needed.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young people to live independently and have fun.
Hourly Rate-£13
Hours Per Week-12
How will the hours be used-A Thursday and Friday, hours to be discussed with applicant
