Constructions R US - General Builder
Constructions R US is a growing design and build office specialising in extensions, refurbishments, and new builds primarily across the residential sector within the North West London region.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced General Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across a range of construction trades, capable of supporting various tasks involved in property development and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general building tasks including laying bricks, tiles, and building blocks to construct, repair, and decorate buildings
Pour and level concrete; prepare surfaces for painting and plastering; mix and apply plaster and paint
Install basic plumbing fixtures, woodwork fittings, and assist with setting glass in frames
Erect and repair fencing and carry out general maintenance and repair tasks on various structures
Support site preparation, general labouring, and tool handling
Assist joinery, plastering, and finishing teams as required
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organisation of work areas
Follow site health & safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
Collaborate with the site team and project managers to support timely project completion
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven hands-on experience in general construction or a related trade
Vocational training or apprenticeship in construction or a related field
Knowledge of basic construction safety standards and regulations
Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and plans
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
Experience with property refurbishments or residential extensions
Familiarity with UK building codes and regulations
Good communication skills and a positive attitude on site
