Due to continued growth, we are expanding our teams and looking for skilled roofers who are wanting to train in solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties. Although we will consider someone who hasn't worked in the industry but had a great attitude to learning and is able to do manual labour.
This is an excellent opportunity for roofers looking for consistent work, strong earning potential, and long-term career progression within a fast-growing renewable energy company. The position involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient and safe installation of solar panels. We are ideally looking for Sub-contractor's, leading to full time employment as time progresses.
Duties
Installation of Solar PV systems on domestic and commercial roofs
Working with in-roof systems (GSE, Viridian etc.)
Installing on-roof systems (tile, slate, commercial)
Installation of timbers within loft spaces
Installation of ground mount systems when required
Working safely on the DC side of solar PV systems – installing DC cables in trunking/conduit. Fitting the inverter/batteries to the wall.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while adhering to quality standards.
Requirements
The ability to work at height is essential.
Practical knowledge of using hand tools and power tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with electrical experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely.
Relevant certifications or training in electrical work or construction are advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and safety protocols.
Valid UK driving licence is essential.
Ability to work away from home for some projects (Mon to Fri)
