An opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivated individual to join the Acute Medicine Business Unit as a Medical Secretary.
We are looking for an efficient and competent secretary to provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Team.
Working in a challenging and constantly changing environment, you will need to have excellent administrative, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to possess the ability to multitask at a high level, pay close attention to detail and work on your own initiative. You will need to be able to demonstrate the skills required to manage the workload in a proactive and effective manner.
Derby Acute Medicine Business Unit incorporates the dynamic and specialised areas of the Emergency Department, Acute Medical Assessment Unit, Short Stay and Same Day Emergency Care.
• To organise and minute internal and external meetings/case conferences.
• Arrange hospitality, Travel and audio visual equipment and any requirements as appropriate using online booking systems. Use of Microsoft Teams for virtual meetings.
• Communicate with all members of the multi-disciplinary team including GPs, Nurses, managers and other medical staff.
• To audio type and distribute letters and correspondence ensuring working in line with Trust KPIs.
• To work as part of a team, covering for others when required due to sickness or absence.
