The Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient movement, storage, and handling of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods within our warehouse and manufacturing facility.
This role is critical in ensuring stock accuracy, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries of raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
• Pick, pack, and prepare finished products for dispatch.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Accurately record stock movements using warehouse management systems and documentation.
• Supply production areas with required materials in a timely manner.
• Conduct stock counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Maintain warehouse organisation and cleanliness in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
• Ensure materials are correctly labelled, stored, and segregated.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and food supplement manufacturing procedures.
• Assist with waste management and recycling activities.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operation.
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
• Basic IT skills and experience completing warehouse documentation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience within food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or FMCG manufacturing
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or food safety standards.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Experience using warehouse management systems
