Summary
We are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 32.50
Working Weeks TTO: 39
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term until 31st August 2027, Term Time Only
Location: Coed-y-Brain Primary School

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational practitioner to lead our Nursery, with a proven track record of leading whole-class learning, particularly within an Early Years setting.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child-centred pedagogy and be passionate about creating rich learning experiences that inspire awe, wonder, curiosity, and exploration.
As we continue to develop the Froebel approach across our Foundation Phase provision, we are looking for someone with a sound understanding of Froebelian principles and a commitment to fostering high-quality play-based learning both indoors and outdoors.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, Higher Level Teaching Assistant or experience.
Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales in numeracy and literacy. For example, NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
Working knowledge and experience of implementing national/foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
Experience working with children of relevant age in a learning environment.
