A Clinical Research Fellow post has become available at the Oxford Eye Hospital. The post is funded for a year.

- To assist with the setting up/approval process/submitting amendments of research projects
- To encourage and aid in recruitment and follow up of patients as required
- To collate phenotype/demographics/multimodal imaging information and be involved in the analysis of these data
- To provide recruitment, documentation and accurate completion of study CRFs in accordance with clinical trial study protocols in accordance with GCP.
- To be involved in presenting findings to colleagues at internal and external meetings (travelling within the UK and abroad when necessary) with approval from supervisor.
- To be involved in drafting publications with input from supervisory team
- To demonstrate initiative in supporting the development and implementation of the project and ensuring the timely execution of research
- To assist with audit and data collection ensuring the validity and reliability of data at all times including maintaining accurate and complete records of all findings.
- To ensure appropriate consent for research is obtained from the relevant patients
- To ensure up to date training in current GCP practices

The post holder will be involved in the day to day running of the studies in Oxford and its ancillary units working with the Lead in Oxford (Prof. Susan Downes) to enable the recruitment and follow-up of patients; coordinate collection, analysis and writing up of the data obtained and working with the nurse researchers and admin/coordinators in allocated to the projects. The post holder will benefit from significant exposure to research skills with a view to developing a long-term commitment to clinical research.
