TeacherActive is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-respected primary school in Longbridge for a full-time maternity cover role starting in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community and make a real impact during a key stage in children’s educational journey. The role is expected to continue until July 2027, with potential for extension depending on the school’s future needs.

    About the Role

    As the Year 2 Teacher, you will:

    • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
    • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive
    • Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress effectively
    • Adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and additional needs
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the school
    • Establish excellent classroom behaviour and positive learning routines

      ✅ What We’re Looking For

      We’d love to hear from teachers who:

      • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
      • Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
      • Are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
      • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
      • Are organised, adaptable, and confident delivering the national curriculum
      • Can commit to the full duration of the maternity cover role
