Our client, a highly respected educational institution located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of £92 - £95 per day, recognizing the invaluable contributions you will make to the academic and personal growth of our students.

As a Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of our client's inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your role will involve collaborating closely with our teaching staff, providing tailored assistance and enrichment to students with special educational needs (SEN). Whether it's one-on-one support, small group facilitation, or whole-class engagement, your expertise and compassion will be instrumental in helping our students unlock their full potential.

We are looking for an individual who possesses a deep understanding of SEN teaching strategies and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing personalised support and care to students with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges.
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and learning styles of each student.
- Assisting with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons, employing a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure all students can actively participate and achieve their learning goals.
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining detailed records, and communicating regularly with teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to each student's development.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest SEN teaching practices and technologies, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills.
- Promoting a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning, boosts self-confidence, and empowers students to overcome challenges.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

Qualifications Skills - A relevant teaching assistant or SEN qualification (e.g. , NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent) - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues - Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs - Adaptability and problem-solving skills to effectively support students with diverse needs - A valid enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check - Creativity and resourcefulness in developing engaging and inclusive learning activities - Familiarity with the UK's SEN Code of Practice and relevant educational legislation - Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing and academic progress of every student - Strong organizational and record-keeping skills - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the school
