Rate of Pay: £12.71

Hours of work: 4 hours every week.

Nature of the job role: This role is for a Personal Assistant supporting a young male with day-to-day independence, community access, social activities, personal care, nutrition, and household tasks.

Main Duties: Support with socialising, outdoor engagements, accessing the community, support with nutrition, personal care, cooking, accessing laptop and computer, getting items around the house, support employer to increase independence,

Personal duties:
• Support with checking in on citizen's mental wellbeing keeping track of medication.
• Assisting with nutrition and cooking
• Providing personal care support
• Helping with laptop/computer access
• Assisting with retrieving household items
• Encouraging and increasing independence

Domestic duties: there may be light domestic required, support with keeping home environment clean and tidy to avoid falls.

Social Duties: Support with socialising, outdoor engagements, accessing the community, Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities and Providing companionship, to access the community to reduce social isolation.

Qualifications: None specifically required, but NVQ 2 or higher in Adult Social Care would be beneficial.

DBS is essential but not necessarily. It is important to have a DBS check when working with children– this will be completed before starting work.

Skills & Experience:
• Reliable, trustworthy and a willingness to be flexible to meet employer’s needs.
