Fire & Security Engineer

Location: Field-Based (Midlands)
Hours: Monday to Friday, average of 45 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our field-based team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a range of systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and fire alarms.

This is a national role, so you’ll be visiting customer sites across the UK, delivering high-quality service and representing the company with professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a service-led environment
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Ability to provide a full 5-year employment history, including:
At least 2 references
Right to work in the UK
Credit check clearance
Relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Key Skills & Attributes

Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems
Proven experience working in a field-based role
Ability to diagnose faults and problem-solve effectively
Good understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards
Organised, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident using Microsoft Office and willing to learn internal systems
Commercial awareness with a focus on customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

Install and commission high-quality fire and security systems
Carry out maintenance and repairs to ensure systems perform at their best
Deliver excellent customer service on-site, building strong relationships
Support the wider operational team in successful service delivery
Ensure all work meets compliance and safety standards

Adhere to all statutory and regulatory requirements
Follow internal processes and best practice guidelines
Support the use of central systems and processes across the business
Promote a positive team culture, aligned with company values
