HGV 2 Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Guaranteed Hours: 45 hours per week
Location: Dewsbury
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client in Dewsbury, operating 18t–26t curtain-sider vehicles across the local area.
This is a hands-on role suited to a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.
Duties Include
Driving HGV Class 2 curtain-sider vehicles safely and efficiently
Collecting and transporting waste materials including aerosols, oily rags, and paint
Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
Using handheld or tablet devices to complete vehicle and job records
Following all transport, site, and road safety regulations
Providing a professional service to customers
Supporting the depot and transport team when required
Requirements
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
ADR and Moffett qualifications preferred but not essential
Experience with hazardous waste or curtain-sider vehicles is advantageous
Reliable and safety-focused approach
Good communication and customer service skills
Flexibility for early starts from 4:30am
Pay and Benefits
£14.50 per hour
45-hour guaranteed week
Overtime paid at x1.5 after 45 hours
£10 early start bonus for shifts starting before 4:30am
£3 daily meal allowance
£26.50 night allowance where applicable
Full PPE and uniform provided

Death in Service benefit (4x annual salary after 6 months’ service)
