    The Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a Head Nurse position at a well-established and highly regarded practice

    This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with the clinical team to maintain exceptional standards of patient care, develop nurse-led services and support the ongoing growth of the practice.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Leading and developing the nursing team
    • Managing nurse clinics and Schedule 3 procedures
    • Supporting consultations, surgeries and inpatient care
    • Monitoring anaesthesia and overseeing patient recovery
    • Managing admissions, discharges and medication dispensing
    • Driving clinical standards and regulatory compliance
    • Coaching and mentoring colleagues to achieve their full potential

      This role is ideal for a Senior RVN ready to progress or an existing Head Nurse seeking a supportive and rewarding new challenge.

      Hours & Work Pattern

      • Full-time, 40 hours per week
      • Permanent position
      • Some weekend shifts
      • No on-call responsibilities

        The Practice & Team

        Located on a picturesque Isleworth, this established small animal practice has built a strong reputation within the local community and enjoys a loyal and growing client base.

        The practice is fully equipped with:

        • Digital X-ray
        • Ultrasound
        • Full in-house laboratory
        • Microscopy
        • Urinalysis machine
        • Haematology and biochemistry analysers

          For advanced diagnostics and out-of-hours support, the nearby 24 Hour Hospital provides access to CT, MRI and emergency care.

          You will join a close-knit and dedicated team of RVNs, veterinary surgeons and receptionists who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient and client care.

            About You

            • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
            • Previous senior or leadership experience
            • Confident in all areas of nursing, including anaesthesia, theatre and inpatient care
            • Strong communication and mentoring skills
            • Passionate about clinical excellence and team development
            • Motivated to drive nurse-led services and Schedule 3 utilisation
