INSPIRING AND DEDICATED TEACHER REQUIRED IN YEAR 5/6

MATERNITY COVER FROM SEPTEMBER 2026

Part time – temporary. The maternity leave will begin in September 2026. We are also interested in attracting early career teachers.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced classroom teacher for one of our mixed Year 5/6 classes. This post is 0.6 (3 days a week, currently Wednesday - Friday).

Kingsmead Primary School is a successful and popular school housed in an award-winning building, designed around principles of sustainability and care for the environment. We have a supportive and experienced staff who support new members of our team and leaders and governors committed to your professional development.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and teaching, who understands the importance of educating the whole child. At Kingsmead, we aim to achieve high standards in core subjects within a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their capacity to deliver good and better outcomes for all the children in their care, demonstrating understanding of how adjustments will be needed for those pupils with additional barriers to their learning.
