Summary

Room Leader


Salary: £30,000–£31,000 | 40 hours per week



Are you an experienced and passionate childcare professional ready to take the next step in your career? Our client is looking for a dedicated Room Leader to join their nursery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a room within a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive, learn, and develop with confidence.



The nursery caters to children aged 3 months to 5 years, with dedicated rooms tailored to each age group’s developmental needs. The spacious outdoor area encourages children to explore, play, and use their imagination.



What We’re Looking For:



  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting

  • Experience leading a room or supporting room management

  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and support the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring high standards of care and education.

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can learn and grow.

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to children’s developmental stages and interests.

  • Observe, assess, and monitor children’s progress to support their individual learning journeys.

  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and colleagues to meet each child’s needs.

  • Support and mentor team members within the room, promoting a positive and collaborative environment.

  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met.
