Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waitress / Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, along with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and seat them comfortably
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems or manually
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or dietary needs
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as required, adhering to food safety standards
Handle payments accurately and efficiently, including processing cash or card transactions
Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to inform guests effectively
Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of food and beverages
Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving procedures
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
Basic maths skills for handling bills and cash transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory
Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A genuine passion for guest services and creating positive dining experiences
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
