Design & Technology TechnicianSalary: £25,989 - £26,403 (Scale 3 points 8)Actual Salary: £11,943.86 - £12,134.12Contract: Part-time - PermanentHour per week: 20, (38 weeks, term time only)Start Date: To be confirmedWe are seeking to appoint a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to support our busy and successful DT department.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with practical skills and a proactive approach to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Design & Technology.The successful candidate will support staff and students by:Preparing materials, tools and equipment for lessonsMaintaining machinery, equipment and workshop areasSupporting safe working practices and health & safety proceduresAssisting with stock control and ordering suppliesSupporting practical classroom activities where appropriateEnsuring workshops and preparation areas remain organised and safeWe Are Looking For Someone Who:Has practical and technical skills relevant to Design & TechnologyIs organised, adaptable and able to work independentlyHas a good understanding of health and safety within workshop environmentsWorks well as part of a teamHas good communication and problem-solving skillsExperience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
