We are seeking to recruit a Senior Clinical Imaging Support Worker, with a passion for working to the highest standard, to join our dedicated team in MRI.

MRI at York Hospital is a forward thinking Department, committed to staff development and the provision of an effective and efficient patient centred Imaging Service.

Senior Clinical Support Workers are key members of the multidisciplinary team involved in the Radiology Service provision. Working within MRI will provide a new challenge, and will be ever-changing and rewarding.

We are looking for someone who lives our values, to help us make a difference to the thousands of patients who use our service every year. You must have great communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment. You must be motivated, passionate and proactive with the ability to work as part of a team.

Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment is desirable. This is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge in a technically advanced field.

Interviews for this position will be held in person only at one of our Trust sites. By applying you acknowledge that remote interviews will not be offered.

Assisting the MRI Radiographers in day-to-day MRI service provision, the HSW role is varied and challenging.

Duties include undertaking pre-examination checks for patients undergoing MRI scans, preparing and positioning patients in the MRI equipment. One of the main duties of this role is the provision of a safe patient transfer service throughout the departments and wards on beds, trollies and in chairs.

This position requires a dynamic individual who enjoys both physical and mental challenges daily. We need someone who is able to work on a one-to-one basis with our patients but is equally comfortable in a team dynamic.

You will be required to work a variety of shifts, early mornings, evenings and weekends. Hours worked will be on a rotational basis and initially will be within the hours 08:00-10.30 7 days per week.
