Shaftesbury North East is recruiting Female Bank Enabling Support Workers to join our Complex Care Service in Newcastle.

Important: Due to the specific requirements of this role, applications can only be accepted from female candidates who hold a full UK driving licence with no endorsements.

About the Role

As a Bank Enabling Support Worker, you’ll provide person‑centred support by:

Following individual support plans and taking direction from the person you support
Encouraging independence, confidence and life experiences
Maintaining accurate records in line with service requirements
Supporting with personal care and the administration of medication when required
Building positive and professional relationships with families and professionals
You’ll be providing 2:1 support to a young man with complex care needs, helping him live an active and fulfilling life.

We’re looking for someone with a good sense of humour, an outgoing and fun personality, and the creativity to think outside the box. You’ll be proactive in creating meaningful life experiences — from day trips further afield using his car, to providing support on holidays.

Experience supporting someone with a PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) plan is essential.

What You’ll Need

A full UK driving licence with no endorsements
Previous experience in complex care and PBS
Confidence working 2:1
Flexibility to cover sleep‑in shifts
£60 paid per sleep‑in
